They're working right now on extending the 2nd Ave. line into Harlem so there will be more on the W line. They're also in the planning stages

for a line that will run from Bay Ridge to Astoria. It was originally intended to go to the Bronx but they changed the plans to end it in Astoria. That will mean many more stations as well.
There's also talk of another train line between Brooklyn and Queens. This will also use existing freight tracks.
