NYC Subway discontinuities are all over the place. She’s not actually riding the 6 train. The exterior of the car she gets in is an R-32 which would not have been able to run on the numbered lines as it’s too wide. The interior is an R-16, I think, which likewise was only on the lettered lines. Also they film 77th St at an express stop with 2 island platforms, when it’s actually a local stop with side platforms. If it was an express stop the train arriving across the platform in the first episode wouldn’t be going in a different direction. Also, the other arriving train is an F train which never shares track with the numbered lines. Also also she gets off at Astor Place which is shown as an island platform, but again is actually a local stop with side platforms. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
