It comes down to your risk profile and expected returns, and whether you’re looking for cash flow now, or ROI. -- (edited)

If you’re looking for recommendations for the latter, DGRO has performed very well for me. It’s an ETF that tracks an index of companies that have consistently increased their dividends, and currently yields just over 2%, versus about 1.34% for the S&P 500 as a whole. If you’re looking for income, you might want to look into REIT or MLP funds, which generally (probably?) pay out more, but I don’t have any specific recommendations. Also there are tax implications to consider.
