He didn't have a no-trade clause. The Nets could have traded him to anywhere they wanted but I guess if he's going to refuse to play for that team too

then it would be hard to find a team willing to deal for him.
I still believe it was an awful trade for us and that we'll get next to nothing from Simmons. At this point I can't believe he'll ever step foot on the court for us.
