I could have taken a much easier route, but I was using it to learn HA a little bit. And with HA I had more control over how long the light stayed on.

Plus, the Hue app is way more difficult trying to tie the two motion sensors together. HA is a pretty steep learning curve so far, and if I was just using it for a room like you, I might go the easy way. Of course it depends heavily on what hardware you are using.
