I know you can do it with the dryer and basically mounting a motion sensor on the inside of the drum. not sure how you could do that for the washer other than mounting a sensor on the outside and then programing a thing that once it stops detecting vibration to ping a notification.

I got the idea from the Smart Home Solver on youtube, but I need to upgrade to HA still.
