Until they introduce an XP system like in Halo 5, I see no reason to play multiplayer.

They made it so I could play for days with no advancement whatsoever. What’s the point?

Oh it's the opposite of that now. I went through all the levels so fast I had months to go with nothing to do. -- nm

That was on launch, they’ve changed it. Progression is quicker now. You can level up in 4-5 games -- nm
