LYC: I'm punting on my EV search. Test drove a Bolt EUV last night. It isn't for me. My wife's Niro feels much better driving than the Chevy. I'm

going to now look to buy a Niro EV so I can get into an EV now and plan to sell it for an Ioniq 6 when they are announced. I presumably can pre-order/factory order the Ioniq 6 to be exactly what I want and get it at MSRP without markup that way. It looks to be exactly the kind of car I want long term. With the Niro EV, I know what I'm getting, I'm comfortable driving it and it meets my needs. It is also, by far, the cheapest EV option I have outside of the discontinued (and hard to find in the midwest) Ioniq Electric.

MSRP is $42 for the EX with the cold weather package. Bolt is also $42 for the premium line but the Kia has better "smart driving" by far than what I found in the Bolt. Kia also has the $7500 rebate where GM does not so right of I'm going to be looking at 34.5. The EV6, by comparison is upwards of 53 (45 after rebates) but impossible to get at that price.

I'll save myself 11k, drive the EV for a year or so and then sell it. I would hope the market would stay up for cars and, after getting my 7500, I should come out pretty good moving into the Ioniq sometime in 2023.
