Reading that post from 5/2 about Shawnee, KS banning communal housing, that could be a problem in college towns.

There are nationwide companies that build apartments in college towns and then rent out the rooms individually, with a communal living room, kitchen, etc. Like dorms or frat houses. Heck, my place has 4 bedrooms with keyed locks and adjacent bathrooms. It's clearly intended to double as such, and some of my neighbors are doing exactly that.
