Right. And frankly my reaction to "What if . . ." was "Who cares . . . ?" -- (edited)

Yes, I get that there's an infinite set of possibilities of how things can turn out and some are very different, but that's just too many stories to care about. Those aren't the universe we're in, so let's just stick to that. I liked the Rick and Morty take on the multiverse where basically if there's a multiverse, there's a universe where Dr. Strange is a chair. At some point nothing matters.
