I think my big issues with Doctor Strange are (spoils) -- (edited)

Meet Wanda: Oops! Wanda's the bad guy!

Meet Mordo: "You're not a bad guy like in my world are you?" "Nope" "Oh, good!" "Just kidding! Of course I am!"

Meet Alternate Strange: "Wow, your world is in bad shape." "Yeah, I tried everything to save it " "Want to help me save mine?" "Nah, bro, I think I'd rather kill you."

Literally the only character the film introduces that isn't "Plot twist! Evil" is America. And she's a McGuffin with zero agency.

We never got an alternate Wong or another Ancient One, or an uncorrupted Mordo. The Illuminati basically say all Stranges are horrible people or become corrupted. And then they fight mostly individually and get killed with barely any screen time.

And, yes, it was fun to see Bruce Campbell, but the scene went on too long and makes prime Strange look like an asshole with the weeks long punching curse. That should have made America nope right out of trusting Strange.

I'm fine with Wanda being the bad guy. WandaVision made it clear that she was obsessed and not concerned with anyone other than herself and her fictional children. I hope that America's "here's what you want" moment is not a way to make Wanda more sympathetic in future appearances "Yeah, I was wrong about enslaving a town and trying to steal another world's kids, so we're all good now that I see that, right?"
