I paid $200 for Phoebe in 2021 from a rescue. They ensure they are fixed, chipped and healthy. (and she qualified as a senior, she was 8. -- (edited)

The rescue i got her from also provides the food etc to the foster homes they stay in until adoption.
the costs add up for them.
