LIR Tim, I hope you find a psychologist you gel with. And try not to get discouraged. I went through a couple before I found the one I have now.

Finding one that you like and that works with you and what you need is very important. If this next one doesn't work for you, find another one. The first one I went to was trying to push meds within 15 minutes of meeting me and it rubbed me wrong immediately. I'm not against meds, but I also don't want to be the knee jerk reaction. But that's me. So I moved on to find someone that worked better for me.

But I'm glad you are taking these steps. Honestly, I've said for a long time that everyone should be in therapy, at least for something. I've been in therapy for years, and while it doesn't necessarily "fix" things, it really can help.
