So in recent weeks I've seen Matrix Resurrections, The Bad Guys, and Chip n Dale.

Nostalgia as a product has never been so ... overt. At least in my opinion. Nostalgia was practically a character in those films.

Now, I realize that The Bad Guys wasn't a reboot or anything (just a book adaptation), but it cribbed enough from, well, EVERYWHERE, that it kind of felt like it was drawing from the same bucket.

I liked them all, but this aspect of them did start to grate on me.
