I deeply disagree. The hardcore Potter fans are militantly LGBTQ+ friendly. There’s seem deep soul searching in the community.

If Rowling were to come out with new material, the angst among the community could be so deep it may cause a rip in the fabric of reality.
In short, I feel the community desperately wants *someone else - anyone else* to become the authoritative keeper of the Harry Potter canon. If someone else were contracted to write a book, the community would fall over itself to praise it and find every opportunity to point out how they (the new writer) did things better than Rowling.
