What are the top 3 legislatively untouchable things in American right now?

In my opinion:
1. Guns
2. Womens Rights
3. Cars
That last one might be a surprise, but I think it's true. There's no legislative pushback to stop carmakers from making their cars into ever more murderous death machines for pedestrians and bicyclists, and what little legislation there is around emissions has been slower and less comprehensive than it needs to be. And there seems to be little effort to boost public transit (perhaps this is a larger problem in Canada?) and remove cars from city centres. Not to mention that American and Canadian cities are often designed around car-induced sprawl, which further deepens the addiction to the death machines (so that people can feel "safe" while driving around in the sprawl).
