In the same way that no one calling for gun control is blind to the political realities. It's blasting all of the possible objections to getting rid of the filibuster, particularly Manchin's. The argument often is "ok but you wouldn't like it when the Republicans get in without a filibuster". Brother, we don't like it now, and this way Republicans never have to be accountable for their shitty opinions.
