it *is* 220V. it says it on the panel. I have read something about wear and tear on "just plug it in" plugs, but I trust the EVheads here to tell me

No wear and tear. The Grizzle-E is a one time plug in. See my other response about the outlet type. You may want to go with the "SMART Grizzl-E" if
