I was there, too. With a broken wrist. That I broke while riding my brothers' big wheel.

Mom took me to an afternoon matinee after I got the cast on my wrist. The concession folks even gave us free popcorn.
I don't know if it was an empty theater, but there weren't many people there. I don't think I went to see Star Wars in with even a modest crowd until the fifth or sixth time.
