"While her loyal sons are marching/Onward to victory."

will now be

"While her loyal sons and daughters/March on to victory."

It only took 50 years after going co-ed to make the change. That's fast for them.

When I was a yoot, there was an op-ed in the campus paper suggesting "sons" be changed to "ones" which is just clumsy and unnatural. The above is a much better option. And I don't just say that because I suggested the same thing at the time. Wait, where's my commission? I'm suing!
