Pushing Cody is making some of the crowded AEW upper tier give WWE a 2nd look. Mission accomplished in that.

WWE can pay more than AEW. AEW is letting go of dead weight making very little all things considered so money talks.
Cody is getting the hero push and that won’t change given he gutted out that injury. Vince loves company men and Cody saved their ass last night.
And his story has been that big belt. That’s an easy story now.
