That’s been a thing for years, I’ve heard it referred to as “shrinkflation”

I guess companies decided that consumers are more sensitive to price changes than package size.
Responses:
I was annoyed when Premiere magazine did this in the 90s. I used to cut out the movie poster ads for my wall, and then the sizes didn't match. -- nm
