Sometimes the charities that I deal with do things i find kind of crappy

An international organization my boss' wife long supported (she was a Past President in fact) sent a letter saying to honour her they are renaming a yearly event after her. Lovely.
Then, it goes on to say that in order to put on the event they need a donation of $50,000 and hope this is acceptable.

I mean, it's getting donated, but that seems like an underhanded way to do it. You know this is now going to be a yearly thing.
