What do you like to know before a meeting?
-what's it about?
-agenda (I love an agenda with "ten minutes for this, ten minutes for this...")
-who else will be there (allows me to assess whether the right people are in the room)?
-what are decision points ideally coming out of meeting?
· What makes a meeting productive?
-get there early to make sure tech works
-someone to keep us on track (the "off-topic police;" a mean facilitator)
-level setting at beginning of meeting
· What makes a meeting unproductive?
-"I was never going to agree anyway"
-fucking betsy and her endless talk about planning her wedding. aren't you married by now? you've been talking about this for two years, betsy.
-bad tech
· Do you prefer to lead the meeting? Why or why not?
-I like to lead because it makes me pay attention.
· What steps should be taken post-meeting?
-for the love of god, send out decisions, next steps (with assignments) and schedule follow up meetings like immediately
