tmi, don't read, I just want to get this off my chest

last year I had a blood test and my PSA was 0.871

PSA is a check for prostrate cancer and a normal reading is between 0.1 and 3.4

My PSA on the test this year was 5.0, I had to go see a specialist in Boise. I had to be checked digitally. Digital is not the opposite of analog, digital as in a finger, a painful finger.

He found no lumps and told me not to worry too much as he has seen blood tests spike up and then come down slowly. He told me not to worry about biopsy surgery yet and we'd get another blood test in a month and meet again.

I was supposed to see him last week but he had a mountain biking accident so this was the week I was supposed to see him again.

I got another blood test Tuesday and my PSA was 0.886, right back at my baseline. He told me to keep getting yearly blood tests but there is no reason for me to keep seeing him.

I feel so fucking relieved right now
