So as you may know, I have a new job. We are a listed company with public shareholders

This week, one of our shareholders came into the office to complain about our policy of only paying dividends by direct deposit (ie, not checks).
He will not give us his bank account details because it is "against his religion" to receive bank transfers. He mentioned that he also won't accept bank checks from the State tax office because the Australian Federal constitution "only authorizes the State to make payments in silver or gold" (???).
The note I got from the Investor Relations team concluded with "Mr X does not have phone or email so requires a response by post."

Side note: This has apparently been going on for like 10 years. It's more than $30K in old dividends.
