Its always fun when the fire department says we have to evacuate as the construction crew replacing water mains on the street hit a natural gas line.

Happened at 830 this morning at my home....its evacuation for emergency purposes but its usually just getting the gas turned off so they can make it safe and do repairs. Only took about an hour and we could go home. Just went to the park at the end of the street while repairs done.

- I know in Ontario it happens at least weekly in the summer. For safety they evacuate but usually its just waiting for the gas tech to shut off the gas -- nm - Walt_Disney Jul 21, 07:13
