Yeah, it ain't right. It's passing through the IP address instead of creating a closed network.

The modem should be 192.168.something.something and everything behind it should be 192.168.something.1 and 2 and 3 and 4. Instead, the device that connects comes up with a raw Comcast IP address. It's worrisome since that makes me vulnerable to attack. I count on the modem to be the firewall. Ordering a new modem now...
