Somewhat surprised I was able to get through the whole thing, since I haven’t done any running for a couple weeks, with how hot it’s been.

Awesome. I will say if you can force yourself to run (safely) in the heat even if it's slower, you will be amazed in the Fall.

gotcha. I need to ask my wife if she is. I know that she had deferred during covid but I'm not sure for when. -- nm

Considering my current pace I’m not sure how much slower I can go out there :) -- nm

You're under 12 minutes per mile already. That's legit running. Not going to break records, but in a 5K race you'd beat plenty of people. -- nm

I feel like that’s the floor for my natural stride, more or less, and to try and go any slower would actually take more effort.

You could take walk breaks to compensate for the heat. -- nm
