LPT - if you want solar, search your local craigslist (and other areas nearby) for solar panels. commercial farms put them up for sale

for very cheap, they are reduced efficiency, but still very good and you're going to pay waaaaay less. a friend found monocrystal panels for $30/panel. i've seen some for $90/panel.
if you're willing to DIY, you can have a 10000kw system for under $5k.
