I allow myself little nuggets of doom - hypochondria and the odd observation like how the US will be a de facto dictatorship by 2030 - but I still do what I can to ensure my family would be somewhat cushioned if I were suddenly gone. (One might go so far as to say this is mainly why I have merely windowshopped for boats.)

So I don't like that thread. It's diving into the churn headfirst before it fully starts.
