So how would taxes work in the Batgirl situation anyway?

So if I understand it, I spend $90M to make Batgirl and then just completely dump it. I get to take $90M as a write off on my taxes.

If I release it theatrically I get that whatever box office plus ancillary revenue I receive goes against the budget.

If I release it streaming on HBOMax only, how do I calculate my revenue for tax purposes.

Or am I looking at it wrong by trying to look at a single movie only? Is it just all expenditures and all revenue combined? So the $90M is part of expenditures already?
