Connery made a second career as action mentor. Keaton's career has been more diverse with Birdman and Spotlight, and his action mentor roles have been disappointing.
But to Will's point - both actors set the standard for their characters in the movies. Every Bond gets compared to Connery, as will the next one even though it's sixty years after the first Bond film.
Even though Keaton was Batman for only two movies - he set the standard for Batman being a quiet loner, made it acceptable for offbeat casting choices, and differentiated what we expect from a movie Batman from the campy TV version.
That's where I'd say Keaton is to Batman as Connery is to Bond.
