I'll admit I have mixed feelings about all of this. Obviously she's getting way too harsh of a sentence but she still broke their laws by

bringing in the drugs. If you're going to a country like Russia you can't make that mistake. You just can't. She's played there for a couple of years and knows what it's like.

I feel horrible for her that she's been detained for so long and will get this very harsh sentence for such a small amount of weed/oil.
But I'm also annoyed that because of this we're going to have to end up releasing very bad people back to Russia and into the world. Giving up a guy that sells weapons to bad people for someone that smokes weed just pisses me off so much. It's not a fair exchange but it's what we'll have to do so she doesn't spend a decade in a Russian prison. *smh*
