the current charging network model works if you're mostly driving to and from work from home (which, fair, is a lot of the average driver's vehicle use). that model goes out the window when people start taking trips away from their home chargers -- the holiday drive, basically
how many charging stations do you need to equal the cars per minute capacity a single station can fuel at peak demand. supercharging stations will need mall parking-lot sized footprints if BEVs are going to actually replace the entire passenger vehicle fleet
