not that they should or shouldn't. just that whenever Detroit has had a choice, they've always gone for big and inefficient but pricier than competing

with foreign manufacturers for the smaller, cheaper, fuel efficient market. which is how Japan ate their lunch in the 70s and 80s and why they're uniquely unsuited for the imminent electrification of passenger vehicles.
but they'll still probably sell enough of their big dumb electric trucks to survive i guess
