I'll also say that Houston is one of the most poorly designed cities in the country. I hear they're slowly trying to make some changes but it's -- (edited)

completely unwalkable and very dangerous to cycle. They've expanded too much and paved over too much of their natural land that flooding is only going to get worse and worse.
They would have been much better off going with a well developed downtown with tall buildings filled with apartments and commercial businesses. They went with many wide roads and suburban sprawl. It's a terrible way to design a city.
