Exactly. I rebooked myself quickly yesterday because it was obvious to me that cancellations odds were high re: Newark.

So I rebooked when we were 'just' delayed 2 hours (which later became 5 hours before it finally canceled). I never even went to the airport, just rebooked and got my first choice of alternate flights.
Of course, some people really need to get where they were going and it stinks for them, but for those that could take money, run with it!
