she worked there, that would allow her to have all loans forgiven, is recorded as part time. they just refused her ask to sign off on forgiveness (something that costs them nothing, it's just a signature on a page, all done).
she said she's just going to die with them, she sees no way to pay them off doing the work that she does (mostly social work, very low paying).
$10k is nice, but it will not change anything about her situation.
