it's sorta different in that those leagues don't have playoffs

but the cinderella story would be Topeka just making it up to the top league once and immediately being relegated, not winning the championship. It's the reason the FA Cup and Champions league exist (other than OK $$$).
For football, you'd have to dismantle the entire college system to make it work, which hahahahahahaha
