I think that’s the whole point and why she’s rage-filled. The reporters didn’t want to find Becky, they wanted to report a gruesome murder that gets ratings. The cops didn’t care about finding Becky either. Nobody in her life wanted to find her either, they all basically already acted like she wasn’t a real person. Cinda was like the reporters: she didn’t want to find Becky, she just wanted a gruesome murder.
Nobody noticed Becky even with the flimsy disguise, because nobody wanted to find Becky Butler.
