yeah, inconvenient and I think it was a six month wait. But the interview was maybe 10 minutes

Confirm your name, address, place of birth, places you've traveled (work/pleasure), job description, plus a fingerprint scan (both hands) and photo. I just got the emailed notice of my approval 3 hours after my appointment this morning in the Reagen building in DC. But I think you can interview on the spot at most international airports if you return from outside the country.
