- That's what she said...but in normal use one has an AC using device with a power cord. A cord that ends in a male plug. The generator has a female -- (edited) - JD Sep 15, 14:12
- they're literally plugging it from a generator into a wall plug when the power goes out, supposedly energizing the circuit and allowing other things - colin Sep 15, 14:09
