Tomtom go is fantastic for long trips. They actually care about being a maps provider and give you the GPS experience in app.

Google has become riddled with ads, mistakes on road closures, inaccurate slow downs, etc. They've slowed down on trying to be a good map and are now trying to extract maximum value out of it.
We have a GPS specific for RVs/Trucks in the RV that has height measurements and restrictions turned on.. that's been a life saver as Google has tried to route us down some treacherous roads.
