The Good Wife season 5 is as good as television gets.

You don't to know anything other than that the main character and Dan Rydell had a will they/won't they and then finally did while her estranged husband/current governor was facing prison time.
During season five, the former couple's relationship disintegrates in an absolutely captivating way. She starts a competing law firm while still working there, and it leads to a civil war.
*Highly recommend* Just turn on episode five, Hitting the Fan. You don't even need to know anything before that. It's remarkably self-explanatory as an entry point.
