we went to el sol for lunch (get the barbacoa and shut up and eat) and the bartender was like "we're staffed double today because my manager is a maga head and was totally convinced that we'd be slammed bc the mastriano rally. now I'm sitting around cutting up limes in between customers going to that concert tonight. maybe I've made $10 in tips all day."
after lunch we walked to the capital because of what the bartender said (obviously we way overtipped bc he said "maga head" so derisively) and because I *love* the shades of green in the tile on the dome so I always walk by when I'm in town.
a long time ago, a guy I knew said that the rainforest exhibit at the cleveland metropark zoo (when it first opened; I'm sure it's better now) was like "a guy standing in a bathtub holding a twig and spitting on himself." this was that in "rally" form. maybe 100 people including union sound guys and staffers. the "rally" was done by the time we came back out (maybe 40 mins?).
