as inigo (correctly) points out, that won't get it done for theaters to exist as a going concern. and studios can't afford to silo their $250m movies

exclusively onto streaming platforms. collapsing the theatrical window has always meant extinction for exhibitors. but it's probably also suicide for the major studios, at least for making the kind of movies they've historically made the most money on
