i rarely go out to live shows anymore, but i'm probably in line for my age cohort. myriad factors i guess

anything during the work week is almost certainly an instant nope
weekends, it's still a question of how close to home the venue is. shows at the Fonda are pretty easy to get to, and i don't have to drive if i don't want to. going to New Order/PSB at the Bowl next weekend b/c that's great value for the ticket price even if they're both long past their prime. and i can walk to it
festivals? hah, fuck no
there are occasional new artists i hear on KCRW or KCSN that i love singles from but enough to get me to drag myself out to see their show on a flier? concessions to the shortness of life must be made . . .
