I would highly recommend. Before I went I thought it would be cheesy, outdated and tinged with religion.

the cheesy is fun - like go carts, putt putt, magician shows
outdated is quaint. beautiful lake, river and modern places
religious - there are plenty of bars, we did a moonshine tasting and they let us drive a golfcart on a trail over river paths while drinking beer.
I did see a Sight & Sound show called Jesus! and I loved it.
I'd recommend Branson to anyone. It is so beautiful.
