What it does is capture DNS lookups and breaks the ones that look like ad domains. It really sped things up the time I tried it.

But then there was a power outage and when things came back online, I hadn't instructed the thing to auto start so none of my DNS worked. Haven't tried setting it as the network-default dns server since then.
Also, since I run with an isolated guest network, not sure how to solve the DHCP configuration issue it might introduce if I set it as the router default.
